The role

We are hiring a Copywriter who can write conversion-driven copy across:

  • Paid ads (Meta-first, plus Google where relevant)
  • Email marketing (campaigns and flows)
  • Landing page copy (sections, headlines, offer framing, PDP/collection enhancements)

 

This role is for someone who understands that great copy is not “creative writing” - it’s messaging built to improve conversion rates, reduce CAC, and increase revenue per recipient.

 

You will work inside a client pod alongside Growth Strategy, Paid Media, Email, and Design. You’ll be responsible for producing strong first drafts, iterating quickly based on performance, and maintaining a consistent voice per brand.

 

Responsibilities

 

1) Performance ad copy (Meta + creative testing)

  • Write hooks, primary text, headlines, and angles built for creative testing and iteration
  • Produce multiple variants per concept (so the team can test quickly without bottlenecks)
  • Collaborate with designers to ensure copy fits the creative format and communicates one clear idea
  • Write for different intent levels (cold acquisition vs warm retargeting)

 

2) Email copy (campaigns + automations)

  • Write campaign emails aligned to promo calendars and product priorities
  • Write and refine automation copy (welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandon, post-purchase, winback, replenishment)
  • Collaborate with the Email Marketing Specialist on segmentation, personalization, and testing

 

3) Landing page + PDP copy

  • Write landing page sections that support paid traffic performance (headline, benefits, proof, FAQ, objections)
  • Improve PDP/collection messaging for clarity, persuasion, and conversion
  • Adapt messaging by audience and offer (first-time buyer vs repeat buyer)

 

4) Messaging + research

  • Turn product research, customer reviews, competitor insights, and brand positioning into high-converting angles
  • Build and maintain a simple “copy bank” per client (claims, hooks, offers, proof points, objections)

 

5) Iteration + optimization

  • Support a testing cadence by writing new variations weekly
  • Use performance data and feedback to improve messaging over time (not just deliver once and move on)
  • Contribute ideas for new angles, offers, and creative concepts

 

6) QA and delivery standards

  • Maintain high attention to detail (grammar, brand tone, compliance-safe claims, correct links/offer details when applicable)
  • Operate cleanly in ClickUp: tasks, deadlines, versioning, and approvals
  • Communicate early when something is blocked (missing info, missing creative brief, unclear offer)

 

Requirements (must-haves)

 

  • Proven experience writing conversion-focused copy for eCommerce (ads + email preferred)
  • Ability to write multiple strong variations quickly (speed + quality matters)
  • Strong grasp of direct response fundamentals (hooks, objections, proof, urgency, clarity)
  • Comfort collaborating with designers and marketers in an agency environment
  • High accountability: you hit deadlines, communicate clearly, and deliver work that needs minimal rework
  • Excellent written English

 

Nice-to-haves

 

  • Experience writing for supplements/health/wellness, apparel, beauty, home goods, pets, or other DTC categories
  • Familiarity with Meta creative testing frameworks and how copy impacts performance
  • Familiarity with Klaviyo email strategy and flows
  • Experience adapting copy to different brand voices without losing performance focus

 

What success looks like (Scorecard)

 

First 30 days

  • Produces strong copy for 1–2 clients across ads + email with minimal revisions
  • Learns client tone and internal workflow quickly
  • Demonstrates speed and versioning discipline (multiple variants per concept)

 

 

By 60 days

  • Reliable weekly output that supports testing cadence (ads + email)
  • Builds a repeatable research → angles → variants workflow
  • Proactively suggests new concepts based on what’s working

 

By 90 days

  • Becomes a consistent driver of performance improvement through messaging
  • Maintains a copy bank per client and supports faster iteration across the pod
  • Operates independently with minimal oversight
